Comment: A warm glow covers the body of James Bond (nose wheel has the 007 logo complete with gun) but in reality it's a frigid -14C. Turning onto Rwy 33 for a late afternoon departure. |

Comment: This is a difficult shot to capture at any airport. Slowing from 140 mph and timing it just right with the tower in the background is not for those with a sluggish trigger finger. Fresh from Florida, I bet most of the passengers wish she would just take off again. |

Comment: V2, the point of no return. Westjet leaving the frigid air of Canada. Next stop sunshine, Alligators and palm trees when she touches down in Orlando (Sandford) in a couple of hours. |

Comment: Warming up her shoes on London's Rwy 33, a -12C reality check for returning Orlando Florida sunseekers. This five and a half year old hull is no stranger to London Airport. |

Comment: Off loading luggage after the trip from Calgary. This bird has a recycled registration number previously owned by a now scrapped Westjet hull. First registered 16th January 2008, not quite 17 months old at time of photo. |

Comment: Sharing the ramp on a busy night with C-FWSF and Mesaba N427XJ. Living proof that London Airport is getting busier every year. |

Comment: Climbing up onto the keys at Rwy 33 for the trip back to Winnipeg. For a fairly large airliner Westjet have amazingly fast turnaround times. Often only 30 minutes on the ground at London before heading back out. Amazing. |

Comment: The brainchild of Clive Beddoe, a teenager who flew gliders at Epsom College in England. Westjet has become a Canadian icon. From humble beginnings in 1996 they now serve over 51 destinations including Hawaii, Florida and the Bahamas.
Recent codeshare talks with OneWorld may turn this Canadian baby into a global entity. If this happens it will be the first since the demise of Canadian Airlines. From little Acorns, Oak trees grow. |

Comment: Perfect profile in the late evening Sun. Westjet have owned this hull since new on 24th March 2004 and continue to thrive in the Canadian marketplace with their great service and refreshing cabin humour. |
